It all began while visiting a National Park in Montana…

Glacier Analytics, LLC was founded by Emily Abbondanza while on a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. The beauty and magnitude of the National Park drove a desire to live and operate close to public treasures but the lack of a technology job market in those remote regions was ever present. Moreover, these remote locations tend to be fly-over locations for large data and analytics firms. This leaves local businesses and governments without an opportunity to engage in a local consulting firm. Our data and analytics firms wants to engage in businesses, non-profits and government agencies who wish to have a more 1:1 relationship with their analytics vendor.

And the person responsible for this crazy idea….

Emily Abbondanza founded Glacier Analytics with over a decade of experience within the data and analytics industry. She has partnered with stakeholders in financial forecasting, retail/sales forecasting, marketing propensity and segmentation models, healthcare underwriting risk models, logistics optimization and economic forecasting. She received her B.S. in Economics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her M.S. in Agricultural Economics (ABT) and M.S. in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University. She currently resides in Western North Carolina with her husband and three dogs and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys being able to run long distance in the mountains, walking her dogs and participating in volunteer activities within the community.

What are we hoping to achieve with this idea…

Although the main priority of Glacier Analytics, LLC is to serve business owners, non-profit and government agencies with a reliable and transparent data/analytics service, we have bigger, long-term plans we are working towards.

As mentioned above, there are remote/rural areas within the U.S. that may not have exposure to a technology hub within a reasonable distance. We want to begin building out a template for how to serve small local communities with data analytics services. This template will help guide how to scale the business to begin offering local employment opportunities for the next generation of professionals. Many rural areas over the past two decades have experienced economic hardship with an increase in manufacturing closers. While not all jobs can be regenerated, Glacier Analytics, LLC wishes to help build professional opportunities for those in rural areas who have limited job market opportunities.

Lastly, this template will lead to professional training opportunities with local education institutes, whether at the secondary or collegiate level. In the analytics field, it is critical to have coding and analysis experience with real-world data and Glacier Analytics, LLC hopes to be able to provide young students with internship/educational opportunities in the near future.

To summarize us and our goals…

We value our clients and work hard to ensure projects meet expectations. Moreover, we want our analytical work to increase the competitive edge our clients have within the marketplace.

We want to be a solution maker and build out professional jobs in rural areas.

We want to provide early talent opporunities in the form of internships or educational training to ensure the students and young professionals in rural areas have the same opportunities as those in urban areas.

We follow the of philosophy, working together produces more fruitful output than working in silos.
